Our first students were our friends

Our first students were our friends

Our objective is to make your learning experience just as adventurous and fun as we have for our own family and friends.

A class of friends from 2010
A group of family and friends gathered in August, 2010 for a week outing with us in the Colorado National Forest. Since it was not a formal class, children were allowed. We introduced outdoor survival and ‘prepper’ stuff to the gang around a week of fun activities and plenty of camp fire discussions.

Housing construction
Even though our group contained; a doctor, a structural engineer, pharmaceutical salesperson, a nurse, and an international sales manager they enjoyed the ambiance of the national forest and a chance to step away from the modern world to a simpler form of living.

Great food cooked over an open fire
Nothing better to gather a group around a fire than a dutch oven full of chili with a layer of cornbread on top. Cooking time is accelerated by placing coals from the fire on the lid of the dutch oven.

Where did everybody go?
Supper is finished and the whole group is off to the edge of the trees to take in the evening sunset over the tops of the surrounding mountains filled with hues of red and blue sun rays dancing in the clouds. Only to gather again, around the evening fire pit, for a discussion of tomorrow’s list of more things to do and learn.
